Torus Run Immersive 180-Degree Real-Time Demo

Client: COSM

Location: California

Year: 2021

Project Role: Creator / Environment Artist / Technical Artist

Software: Unreal Engine 4, Digistar 7, 3DS Max, Gaea, Quixel Mixer, Quixel Bridge

This demo served as a proof of concept but never moved past the early concept design phase. The intent was to create a 180-degree, real-time environment, that allowed players to stand in front of a giant dome LED screen and control a digital player with their body. The player would need to move their body in certain ways to avoid obstacles while the giant toroidal shape rotated to spawn in new obstacles. The audience watching could spawn items and obstacles into the game that the players would interact with.
